Hi All, i have golivedate field in EPIC , when i update this field in EPIC the same field should be automatically update within the stories under the same EPIC.

Points: 

Can we automate this ? if yes

While automating task where will differentiate the golivedate filed, which should be picked from EPIC and update in Stories.

You can automate this scenario. In your case you have a field called golivedate and it is available in all issue types.

When field is updated on Epic, then you want to populate the value in child issues.

If you can take a stab at automation, and then let community know where you are getting stuck then community can pitch in.

I tired creating rule but im not able to fix the point take date from epic when it is changed and update in all stories .

The conditions im not clear.

can you help me on this.

Can you share the screen shot of the rule that you have written so far?

if not try with this approach and then let me know where you are getting stuck

You need to use Field Value Changed and select golivedate field.

Then check if issue is Epic

Then branch to child.

and update the field in child issues.
