Hi All!
I had not given "share dashboard and filters" permission under Global permission to a consultant group(which has one user) but still that consultant got "edit permission" link on the filter.
Kindly assist on the issue !
Thanks
Parveen
Hi @Parveen Vats ,
Global permission "Share dashboard and filters" allows user to create shared filter and dashboard.
If a user, without that permissions, has been defined as filter or dashboard editor, he can edit that item.
Hope this clarifies your doubt,
Fabio
Hi Fabio!
But in one of the course video, instructor showed that when consultant wasn't having GLobal permission under "Share dashboards and filters" then it didn't show up "Edit permission" link
That is confusing point basically.

for my knowledge, a user defined as a filter editor can edit it even if he can't share items.

If he has "edit permissions" link, then he can share from that option > to a project, group, org etc. add.
