Financial reporting with Jira or apps

Hello,

Im looking for a financial/business dashboard. App like Custom Charts or Greats Gadget seems to only report for service desks or for IT projects.

I use JIRA for my business operations. I have custom fields like sales, salaries, cost.

I need a app that can make calculations like profit per employee, per week, per months and be presented i a dynamic dashboard. That means a need to do some more complex math then just sums or averages.

Would someone knows what is the best App for that?

English is not my first language, so I hope im clear in my explanation.
Thanks

Hi @Loic I would suggest you to use the easyBI plugin for the reporting and you can customize it using the formula.

Hi, @Loic

If you are looking for a way to control costs and understand margins and dynamic rates for a project or contract, I recommend you look at Mindpro Deliver. The app allows you to distribute activities per team and log time, informing the team you are working for (particularly important if your users work on two or more projects simultaneously). The app reports show work consumption, hourly margins (detailed per user), and timesheet management.

Examples:

Planned x Actual report:

Margins per hour report:

Based on what you said, this app seems to have the potential to provide the information you are looking for simply, even if it does not yet provide dashboard gadgets.

I hope that helps.

Regards,

Eduardo

Hi @Loic

I recommend checking out the Performance Objectives app. It lets you segment and define multiple data sources, add formulas and set conditions for metric calculations, and assign different data sources to each parameter in your equations. You can also perform moving average calculations and set targets for your reports.

PS: I’m affiliated with the company developing the app.

Polina

Hello Loic,
Thank you for your question!

eazyBI could be a great fit for your needs, as it allows reporting on custom measures, including calculations with them. The process of importing custom fields is quite straightforward, and in most cases requires only selecting the relevant checkboxes during the import setup.

While our public demo account primarily shows IT-related measures, eazyBI fully supports business-related reporting as well. You can find more details on working with Jira custom fields in our documentation: Number custom fields.

Additionally, you might find it helpful to explore real-world use cases from other customers who track business-related data, such as costs: Customer use cases

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Best regards,
Ilze / eazyBI team

@Loic I suggest taking a look at Analytics & Reports by Screenful. It supports 15+ configurable chart types (bar, pie, line etc.) and also has a Table chart with formula column

Hi @Loic,

Since you already mentioned our Great Gadgets app, have you had a chance to try these gadgets?

  • Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget - pivot tables, heatmaps, charts just like the Excel pivot tables
  • Advanced Issue Filter Formula gadget - lets you apply from simple to complex math formulas based on issues from multiple Jira filters/JQLs

Using these gadgets, possibly in combination with a few additional fields populated via Jira automation, you could get all the insights you need.

I recommend contacting our support team (support@stonikbyte.com) for a short demo of these gadgets.

Hello @Loic ,

We develop Pivot Report, it doesn't yet have custom formulas / more complex math, but we are looking into adding this feature. Would it be possible to arrange a quick customer development call with you to go over your use cases and reporting needs?
