External Import error: com.atlassian.jira.plugins.importer.compatibility.FixedKeyMutableIssue

I'm running the External Importer using CSV. We are migrating Jira projects from one domain into another domain. 80% of the tickets fail to get created with the following error:

• Error importing issue [externalId='20490', summary='Age not an option for configurable main metrics']: Unable to create issue: com.atlassian.jira.plugins.importer.compatibility.FixedKeyMutableIssue@182758be
• Error importing issue [externalId='20488', summary='[AS] Related Record List: Post dogfooding fixes']: Unable to create issue: com.atlassian.jira.plugins.importer.compatibility.FixedKeyMutableIssue@793a9bd5
• Error importing issue [externalId='20487', summary='AccountSpace: Limit editing related record list based on permissions']: Unable to create issue: com.atlassian.jira.plugins.importer.compatibility.FixedKeyMutableIssue@444fe1b1

We have no Regex validators on the Create transition.

Hi, @Kira McCoan. The community has tons of posts like this one.

Unfortunately, many things can go wrong, but frequently, the issues are caused by a mismatch between the source and destination systems.

For example:

• a mismatch between a field name in the source system vs. the destination system
• or a custom field that exists in the source system but not the new system
• a lack of attention to the heading row in the CSV (watch the typos)

If you've already seen this guide from Atlassian (there's a section for using the CSV method at the bottom of the page) and you're confident you've done everything correctly, I'd open a support ticket with Atlassian.

That's not much help. Sorry. But hopefully, it gets you pointed in the right direction.
