Export wallboard slideshow as widget to use off-site

Hi all,

We want to export one of our dashboards (as wallboard slideshow) as a URL that's publicly accessible. This is because we want to display the slides on an employee motivation/engagement platform (gamification software) called Hoopla. They use dashboards of their own to display data pulled from external sources like Salesforce, Tableau, GSheets, Excel, DOMO, etc. One of the cards they provide allows you to embed a URL and the cards, in turn, display the content in the embedded URL as a live feed.

The problem we're facing with the link to the wallboard slideshow (https://nationalbusinesscapital.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/Wallboard/?dashboardId=10105&cyclePeriod=15000&transitionFx=scrollRight&random=false) is that it's not embedded and for anyone else or any other site, the slides don't run and instead shows an error page.

So is there any way to publish our wallboard slideshow as a widget and use elsewhere other than Confluence? We don't have confluence, but if we did, I know there's a way to do it through Confluence's configuration settings. But if we can get this done for use in other sits, that would be great.

Hi Ian,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

For security reasons, only licensed users can see the Dashboard and the gadgets, that’s why when you send this link for someone that is not an internal licensed user, it shows an error.

Also, for someone to see some gadgets, they need to have access to the project.

It’s possible to share it with the public, but it means that you will share all the internal tickets and the filters with everyone on the internet.

For that, you need to go to the Project settings > Permissions and add the group “Public” on Browse Projects permission. Note that the permission scheme may be shared, so it will affect more than one project.

Also, the filter used in the gadget must be also set to the Public.

As I mentioned, everyone will be able to see the dashboard and also the tickets.

Regards,
Angélica
