Error using Atlassian extension in VSCode: "cannot get client for: Jira". Same for Bitbucket.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
Authentication into Jira and Bitbucket appears to succeed.
What worked for me was to logout completely out of all Atlassian products in my browser, log back in and then reauthenticate the VS Code Jira extension.
Thanks! This worked for me as well.

In the settings for the Atlassian extension there is a collapsed section called Authentication. Expand that and click the little exclamation mark icon. It will take you to the site where you need to update the authorization.

I made sure to do 2 things to solve this.

I had a similar problem with v3.0.6; I installed the previous v3.0.5 it works now.

Extension stopped working yesterday. Sofar, I have not gotten it working again.
Error messages don't really help much.
I have tried:
Nothing has helped so far. Extension is rendered useless for me, currently. Frustrating.
Any further ideas?

Tried again today. Got a 401 (new message), oddly enough.
One window says "Success!" (auth flow), the other then says "Unauthorized".
And ofc, no logs or anything further to understand the issue.

I have also tried all the suggestions but cannot get the plugin to work.

Something went wrong

I wasn't able to fix this with the methods stated above. This plugin is unusable. I can't see the PR I need to review. Please fix!

FIXED: TLDR see update 2.
"cannot get client for: Bitbucket" No further information available. I can make Jira issues. I cannot make Bitbucket issues... which I then can't link to code. Hence... I can't use Jira... Which is my job.
Any ideas would be most welcome. I'm happy to try to debug this but I can't find any information online or in the output.
Update 1: here are my logs when output set to debug.
Update 2: Solution: Using command pallet show Atlassian welcome page, from here you can link to the settings page (THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS EXTENSION SETTINGS, why?) from which (provided you haven't customised your theme or you'll never find it) you can click on the bitbucket tab and then expand the Authentication tab and click login with bitbucket which will go through web auth flow. IMO when the client failed to get... this should have just triggered... or been a button as part of the notification rather than an error notification.
TLDR; I was scilly, you have to click login... not sure why not being signed in is an error... hardly a good customer journey.
I dream of a day when middle of the road businessmen appreciate devops and switch to GitHub.

Thanks to your "update 2" comment, I understood that I might try to enable bitbucket features in the settings page (I was only enabling jira until now). Once bitbucket was enabled, all worked fine!
