previously it was automatic, now a filter like this solved it
"Epic Link" = "Gamma revamp" ORDER BY status ASC
Hi there,
With the latest upgrade of Jira we have noticed that this feature is not working anymore for customers who do not have Jira Agile enabled. The "Issues in Epic" feature is provided by Jira Agile and is not a default feature for Jira.
Why this was working in the past is unclear and currently under further investigation. There is a bug report already opened for this problem: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-39616
Unfortunately there is no workaround at this point. Please feel free to add your comments and vote for it to make it more noticeable to our developers. Also refer to Implementation of Bug Fixing Policy for more information on Atlassian's approach to the development of these bugs fixing.
Please let us know if we can help you any further.

We are experiencing this same issue. Also tried re-indexing but the "Issues in Epic" section is on a seemingly permanent vacation :(

It sounds like you're running up against this bug -https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-11065
I would recommend watching that for any updates on the progress, as well as voting/commenting to provide feedback to the dev team.

Thanks for the reply. That bug looks different than what I am experiencing. In my ondemand JIRA instance, all Epic issue types used to show the list of issues linked to that Epic. Since last couple of days, the details of the Epic does not show this list of issues anymore.

We are experiencing this as well. I haven't tried re-indexing but given the previous comment it seems unlikely to address it.

Hi, I have exactly the same issue. Tried re-indexing as suggested but still the "Issues in Epic" panel does not display :(
This was a really important feature for us... what changed overnight?

Possible index failure. If you are jira administrator - try to reindex your cache (see https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Search+Indexing for details)

Sounds like a change of your permissions more than anything. Where are you looking to get this list and what are you running to do it?

there is a page created with the epic link, and previously when I clicked the epic link it listed all the issues with the epic link, sort of grouping all the related issues. Maybe this mechanism changed.

It would be good if you put some screenshot with the issue

Just to make it clear, this is the feature I'm talking about.

So you don't see issues in epic tab at all - or tab exists but there is no issues inside?

Bump. Is anyone from Atlassian taking a look at this? I'm about to get fired if I can't show my boss's a list of issues in our epics :)

Didn't realise there was a seperate support site for JIRA. Not to worry, have logged a ticket with them.
