Hello Atlassian Community,
Would like to seek your help regarding an Epic issue not showing on the timeline when the status is set to done.
ATS - 292 is an Epic issue, when
it's status is set to Done it does not show up on the timeline unlike the other Epics.
When we set the status back to "In Progress" that is when it shows up in the timeline again. Is there a way to have ATS - 292 show up in the timeline even when it is set to Done? Like the other Epics that we have on the timeline.
Your inputs are highly appreciated.
Thanks
To see completed epic issues, is it possible to increase the time window beyond 12 months.
I have the same issue described. Where can I find the due date field. Perhaps when I cloned the epic it copied the due date.

I have the same issue. Were you able to figure it out?
I have epics that are in "backlog" status that show on my timeline, however for this one epic (although it is also in backlog) does not show on the timeline. It is only when I change to In Progress does it appear.

Hi @Ikem Abellon ,
It looks (not only because of the light vs dark mode) from your screenshots that these are timelines from 2 different projects, right?
In the view settings of your timeline, you can specify whether done epics are displayed or not and even for how long after they were completed.
You can find these settings near the top right of the timeline view:
Hope this helps!

Hi Walter,
Thanks for your reply.
The screenshots are of the same project. The light ones are the screenshot of our internal Customer - I've done the test myself on their project and the behavior is the same.
I've modified the view settings as you've mentioned but still when ATS - 292 is put to status Done it disappears, it only appears back when it's placed back to In-Progress.
Thanks

Having no access to the data, this is a tough one to assess. In the past, visibility of Epics in the epics panel was based on the Epic Status field. Setting that field to Done would hide the Epic from the panel. That is one more option I could think of to verify.
If you can't find the field, you can display it as a column in the issue navigator (filters > advanced issue search: search for your epic there and display the Epic Status column)

Hello Walter,
I am experiencing the same issue as Ikem above.
My Boss can see the "Done" Epic, with a label indicating that it is "Done". But I cannot.
- I have the view setting checked for "Show Epic issues completed in the last - 12 Months".
When I change an Epic's status "Done" it disappears from my timeline view, it only appears back when it's placed back to "In-Progress".
However, my Boss can see the "Done" Epic in the timeline AND he sees a box with the word "Done" next to it.
I'd love to see it that way too but, I can't figure out what setting I'm missing.
Thanks for any insight you can provide. ~MER
