Email notifications contain no issue content, and broken images

I'm receiving email notifications from Jira that are not useful at all. I currently see content like the following in (gmail) messages: 

Any idea what may be preventing the actual content / issue context from loading?

This looks intermittent however you should still check with Atlassian by raising a concern :
