Hello;
We have a custom field that stores and email address. It is a short text field. (Company managed - Software Project)
x@xyz.com as example format.
It is being displayed as //x@xyz.com and it is now a hyperlinked.
The link is: https://x@xyz.com/
If I edit the field, it reverts to x@xyz.com. So the data is not being changed, just changes on the display.
Can this be turned off or deactivated for email addresses? Is there a field type I should be using instead for emails?
Thanks!
Hello John
Thank you for raising this question in our community.
This is indeed related to the recent changes, thanks Charlie for pointing this out
Our team is already aware of this and there here is the bug raised JRACLOUD-84725.

Thank you!
I opened ticket with Support to find out. It used to work fine, but we experience the same behavior without any changes to the field. I do suspect a bug introduced when the hyperlink rendering changed from URL Hotlink to a "preview" of the webpage.

We discovered similar issue today as well. It seams to affect Text Field (single line) but not multi line
