Email JIRA Users

Roy Roy July 16, 2012

Is their a way to email all JIRA users from within JIRA (as an Admin).

As I make changes, enhancements, I would like to notify everyone of those. Since I am continually adding new users doing it via normal email is a pain since I have to keep updating my distribution list.

I prefer to use the announcement banner, but to email...

Admin -> Options & settings -> Send email

Then choose the jira-users group and you're done. I am assuming you use Jira-users group to mean "people who can log into our Jira"

Thanks Nic. That did it for me.

They're members of different groups, and each group got the email. When JIRA sends an email it will send to each individually.

example: I am a member of a few groups/distros used a generic assignment, and when email is sent to all groups in JIRA, it won't send duplicates to any email address - but I receive email for multiple addresses.

Some users got 3 copies of the email while others didn't get any. I sent it to just 1 group jira-users. Anyone know what's going on?
