Has there been any discussion about allowing Jira Issue comments to be edited in their original block? My users have complained that the pop-out for editing does not allow full view horizontally of text.
@Scott Howard Forbes I was not able to find a feature request asking for that change. You can submit one here https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
Just to better understand the issue can you share a screenshot?
Upon further inquiry with the users. It appears this is an issue applicable to when a table is in the comments. The text does a proper wrap-around.

@Scott Howard Forbes Are you stating that the text at the top should not be wrapping and be the same length as the table?

No, the text is fine. The table insert is what they have an issue with. They would prefer to edit in the original comment field as opposed to a popout to alleviate this issue.

@Scott Howard Forbes the only way I know how to get an edit box that is not a popup is to open the link in a new window. If you do this it will open in a new window it will be similar to the original comment box.
