Due Date Automation based on transition and custom date field

Sofia Abreu May 30, 2022

Good morning,

I've been searching for a way to create an automation but without success.

What I need is help to create and implement an automation for "set due date", when an issue/card is moved from one column ("Send FP") to another ("First reminder"), within the kanban board. The "due date" should be based on a custom date field ("end date") to which 7 days are added ("due date" = "end date" + 7 days).

Please bare in mind that I'm a complete beginner and have little knowledge on the matter. A step by step guide on how to create and implement the automation would be much appreciated.

Thank you for the help.

Hi

Welcome to the community.

You can achieve this by following these steps:

  • Create a rule base on the issue transition
  • edit the due date like that ==> {{issue.YourCustomFieldDate.plusDays(7)}}
