Drag-drop Image directly from Google Image to Jira

I'M trying to drag-drop an image from Google Image directly into Jira 'drag-drop' attachment section Jira, but it's not working.

Is it suppose to work, or is it maybe it's a setting in my browser who prevent this from working?

thanks in advance!

The drag and drop feature in JIRA won't work with images/files taken directly from another browser window or tab.   The drag and drop feature is intended to allow you take files you have stored on your local filesystem and make them attachments to a JIRA issue.

So it's not just you, but also I would not expect your exact steps to work either.

However I did find that I could drag an image from either firefox or chrome and drop it onto my desktop first (release the click to save this file to your filesystem), and then immediately click and drag this new file into a JIRA issue.   I realize this is an extra step, but this way does work.
