Does it happen that you set an end date for the sprint in Jira, but you didn't close it manually, and it closed automatically?
My end date was the 14.5 at 11:00 AM, it was a holiday, so i planned to close it today at 11:00 AM.
Somehow i can't find it in the backlog, and the new sprint has started.
Issues that are in (New, to do, in progress) that usually move to the next sprint didn't pass, and i can find the sprint in JQL but for example tasks that are in Done status in the sprint field does not show the sprint and i can see it only as Showen in the picture attached.
The sprint did complete...
Any ideas how can i "Fix" it?
Hi @Eran Roiter
I do not believe there are built-in features for Jira Cloud to automatically close sprints. It can be done with automation rules or marketplace addons.
Please contact your Jira Site Admin to check the system audit log as that includes the sprint-related events and may indicate what happened.
Kind regards,
Bill
Hey Bill,
I'm the admin, there's no automation nor a addon that does that.
The only thing that i can think of is that the start date and hour of the next sprint arrived.
the question is, in the case does the sprint close down by itself and the new one opens up?
Thanks !

No, built-in sprint behavior does not do that.
When you look at the global audit log for the site, what does it indicate happened for the sprint?
