Does JIRA Software need a separate JIRA Core license?

Hi!

I know - yet another JIRA Software vs. Core question - but for me the products are really confusing. And I have to check how much licenses would cost for us. So my questions are:

• Do I need a dedicated Core license to use JIRA Software or is Core more like a part of JIRA Software?
• In which case would I use both licenses?

if you have a Jira Software License, a Core license is not needed. :)

In Jira Software, you can access both, Core and Software project types. Your statement Core being a Part of Jira Software is true in this sense.
