Do you have a separate issue type / workflow for Hotfixes?

For those of you who deploy weekly/biweekly, do you have a different issue type or workflow for Hotfixes? So anything that is outside of the normal dev cycle (ie fast tracked to dev/test/production)? We generally have a rough approval process for hotfixes and I am thinking of how to incorporate this into JIRA, but I am reluctant to not use the normal 'Software Bug' issue type that we use for bugs.

Would this follow the same workflow as the other issueTypes?

We use a custom "Severity" field to indicate when an issue is Expedite or Urgent. If it's a Bug, then issueType Bug still makes sense even though you are reluctant to use it. You can filter for only Bugs that were Urgent as well as all Bugs, etc. to get all "Hotfixes"
