Display bug icon on Jira story card? Edited

Hi. Is it possible to display the bug icon on a Jira story card if the bug is associated (or related to) a Jira story? Currently, if a story's requirements aren't met or something fails during testing, QA holds the original story in a QA column and creates a separate defect, which gets routed back to 'Selected for Development'. Until all related bugs are fixed, retested and passed, the original story stays in the 'QA' column. It would be very helpful to see the bug icon on the original story so QA has a visual reminder of why the story remains in that column for several days.

You can't do it without some development work.

Maybe you can create a calculated custom field to show the icon of bug, if one exists, and then display it on the board. That seems to be the easiest option available.
