When having the active sprint on screen and you select any item in any column, that particular item is shown in a new popup window. When you have the backlog on screen and select an item (line) it is displayed on the right part of the screen, minimizing the backlog lines. Is it possible to have that also shown in a new popup window?

Is this a setting? If so, I cannot seem to find it.

Hi @Elias Tsouvelekidis

There is no setting for this, it is the way it has been designed. I think many people would like it to work the way that you're hoping for, so possibly it will change in the future

Yep, I agree this should be an option.  We have many users that want the issue to open up in a dialog in the same way as it does on the Active Sprint board.  Its confusing that a ticket open up differently from two related pages.

I'm new to Jira and I like it. But, as often happens, when the development team dosen't consider and inssue important this issue gets delayed as necessary... what pity.. I'm sure this fix is very easy because it's only to use the same window that they use to create the issue.

I have to wonder what sort of screen the folk at Atlassian use when doing backlog refinement or sprint planning. It is incredibly annoying to use this way.  Especially since we know that they have the code to do it in seconds.
