Hello,
I have a user in JIRA Cloud who would like to not receive the automation in product notifications since we have a automation that updates the ticket frequently every day. We die selected the check box in the automation itself for emails, which is working, but they are still getting notifications for when the ticket gets edited. This person is frequently the reporter and or the assignee. We see the check boxes on the profile where you can select to disable in product notifications when a ticket is edited however is it because they are the reporter or the assignee that they continue to get those?
If there is a way to handle this from your automation or any other way, please let me know.
Thank you,
Lorena Ponce de Leon
Hi, I received the same question today from one of our user. He does want to block the notifications from the Automation while still receiving notifications for the same issues for the same type of activities when those actions are taken by an actual user? Is it possible ?
No, it is not possible for a user to set individual preferences to block notifications based on the sender of the notification.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Thank you for your quick response. We will live with this. If we can implement this in a future release, we would use it.

hello @lorena test
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Can you get a screen image from the user of how they set their Notification preferences?
There are different settings for Email Notifications and In Product Notifications.
Also, does the user just want to block the notifications from the Automation while still receiving notifications for the same issues for the same type of activities when those actions are taken by an actual user? That sort of blocking just for notifications from Automation are not possible.
