Difference between Due Date and End Date

Vera Bakshaeva November 22, 2019

Hello!

Could you please help me to understand, what is the difference between end date and due date?

In Internet I have found, that due date  - is the time something should be delivered,

end date - is the time something must be done.

Is it right?

Best regards,

After end date there will not be any delivery.

Due date is an intermediate milestone date. Suppose there is an epic to be completed by 31st October and will be starting on 1st July.

Here end date is 31st October.

Due date1 : 1st Milestone elaboration to be completed by 30th July.

Due date2 : 2nd Milestone development to be completed by 30th Aug

Due date3 :  3rd Milestone,  acceptance testing to be completed by 15th October.

Due date4 and end date : 31st October--> Launching to be done on this date.

Most common use case:

Due date is a desired date requested by initiator (e.g. project team requests to execute something by x due date)

and

End date (which can be Target End, End Date, Baseline end date or other end date) is a date by when task will be completed and this is defined by an executor (e.g. to execute it it will take longer hence End date will have different date)

HI @Vera Bakshaeva

Due date is a built-in field, "due date" - it's up to you to decide what it means in the context of your processes.

It's Right Man

end date - is the time something must be done Issue.

Thanks,
