Did the values for the issue.key field change?

Steven Kapsinow October 8, 2019

Hi! I currently use the Celigo integrator.io JIRA to NetSuite connector, and as of October 3, 2019, we keep getting an error when a JIRA issue syncs back to NetSuite. The error says that the issue.key value is invalid:

"You have entered an Invalid Field Value browse/CI-19473"

Has anything changed recently with how the issue.key field is generated? I'm not sure if the above error message is telling me that the field value is "browse/CI-19473". If so, has "browse/" always been part of that field value?

Thanks!

Steve

Hi @Steven Kapsinow ,

The issue key is and has always been a combination of letters (the project key) followed by a dash and the issue number (e.g. PROJ-1, PROJ-2, PROJ-3... etc..).

I am not sure how the integration works but what I see happening is the following:

  • The issue key is CI-19473
  • When opening the full screens issue view in the browser, the URL is http(s)://HOSTNAME.atlassian.net/browse/CI-19473
  • Something is not parsed correctly and therefore instead of only getting CI-19473 as the issue key you also get the "browse/" part.

Now, I am not sure how this integration works, but if this is not something that can be configured on your side and suddenly stopped working then you may want to get in touch with the vendor support by using the following link: https://www.celigo.com/support/

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Dario
