Hi all,

I tried to search the forum but did not find a match for this behaviour.

When a customer is creating a ticket using the Servicedesk portal and enters Windows file paths in the description, the description field is screwed up after ticket creation.

In example, the following path:

\\test\path

is somehow translated into

\\\\test

path

I am using code blocks here to ensure the formatting is correct and code blocks preserve the original formatting very well also in the portal.

However, I am wondering, if I am missing some setting here as the description field should be WYSIWYG as well (and in fact is behaving like that when entering the same in the Jira agent view).

Can you please let me know, if I am doing something wrong or if I missed some configuration?

Thanks!

Hi @Stefan Stadler

Unfortunately, at this moment, it's not about your configuration. The rich text editor in the Description field is unsupported on the Portal.

Of course, Atlassian team is planning to add this support in the future, therefore, I encourage you to take a look at this task: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-9072 to track the progress.

Kind regards, Klaudia

Hi @Stefan Stadler ,

This seems to be a bug. Even I was able to reproduce the same issue in JSM Data center.

I see similar issue in JSM data center and JSM Cloud too.
