For some reason, when I am creating the description for a ticket, when I try to resize the subject of each section (within the description section) so that the subject will have a certain header size, the main text also updates.

I am not able to set just the subject to just be say Header size 3, it also updates all of the text in the description. Other users within my company do not seem to have this issue.

Here's a quick video to illustrate the problem I am having:

Hello Bob, Before changing the header size, make sure only the subject text is highlighted, not the entire paragraph.

Hi Bob - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Since it works for some users and not you, that usually leads me to believe it is something with the browser. Maybe try a different browser, or clear your cache, or try Incognito mode. Or do all of that! Sometimes it's extension in the browser that muck things up. But I would say give those a try.

Hi John -

Thanks for the quick reply. This might seem kind of silly, but I actually just figured out what I was doing that was causing the issue. And yes, it was for sure user error.

When I was creating the initial subject header, instead of hitting "Enter" to move to the regular text section, I was holding down the "Shift" key when hitting "Enter" to start the next line and by default that keeps all of the text as part of the header.

So, create the header, hit "Enter", not hold "Shift" and hit "Enter".

Oh, so it was really just one big "field". Glad you figured it out!
