Deleted custom fields are still showing up in screens?

Lisa Higgins March 14, 2012

I created a custom field which (for some reason) displays in 2 places on my desktop jira client screens, but not at all in my web client screens??? (That in itself is a question) I deleted the custom field and verified that it is no longer showing up in any of the screens when viewing the screen setups using the administrative permissions. However, the custom field is still displaying (in 2 places) in my client version initiate screen. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

Looks like this is an issue with the client application. You might want to talk to the client developer! If the client is not smart enough to refresh the latest fields on screen, this can happen.

Lisa, sorry we missed this question initially. Is it still a problem? This should go away when you right-click on a connection element in the navigation area, and select "Reload JIRA Configuration". (This reloading also happens automatically twice a day.)

You can also right click on an issue and select Re-download Details.

As a last measure, you can create a new connection to the same server, then move all queries from the old connection to the new one (with drag-and-drop).

Hope this helps!
Igor
