Customizing an issue types main page

dsaveri February 25, 2025

Im looking for options on coming up with a summary sheet for specific epic issue types..

Let me explain.

There are a bunch of things that are involved with a specific issue / epic in my case.. I would love to essentially display multiple refined jql lists on all the different epic's pages.. in addition to the normal custom fields, linked issues, etc..

Linked issues is my fall back but was wondering what other options are out there and how would I go about implementing something custom if needed or am I overreaching when it comes to a screen like this and this objective is better done elsewhere?

@dsaveri - I am not sure of what you are trying to achieve. Jira already pulls all the information when you look up an epic - do you want to port that to confluence?

I don't totally follow -- but in Jira, Confluence, or my my favorite Power BI - can you have a field that concatenates a Filter URL with your Epic Key?

For example - if I had a filter of issue that needed estimates, your filter is this:

Status = planning and parent = LLWB-4

and your URL string is this:

https://zzzzz.atlassian.net/issues/?filter=-4&jql=Status%20%3D%20planning%20and%20parent%20%3D%20LLWB-4

I know if you had 1/2 dozen URL fields to populate, when a ticket is created you could use automation to stuff the URL fields with the URL + Issue Key.
