Custom sort 'Components' field values as presented on ticket screen

We have 12 components defined in a project. We'd like to re-order those component values so the most frequently used reside at the top of the selection when clicked.

Just checking if the implementation of this feature remains impenetrable & byzantine as is the ability to custom-sort issue/child links on the premiere project & issue tracking solution that is Jira Cloud?

Or have I embarrasingly overlooked a section where basic click & drag re-ordering of these here text values under Components is possible?

Hi @Jason M_ 

What you mention below is not currently possible. I can see many suggestions on the Jira Cloud tracker from Atlassian (link) regarding component sorting, and yours makes sense for me to add.

There should be an option to select HOW you want the components sorted when an issue is created.
