Custom field still appearing in Jira Rest API even after deleting it via Jira Admin

We've already deleted a custom field via Jira admin but it still keeps on appearing when we're trying to get a list of custom fields via Jira Rest API.

Does anybody encounter the same issue and came up with a resolution?

I think that by default field is going to trash first and would be removed after 60 days. Please take a look on this documentation and check if that is the case

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/edit-or-delete-a-custom-field/

If so you can remove it permanently, but of course you would not be able to restore it later.

It's no longer in the trash, actually. So I would assume it's totally removed now. But still, it's appearing in the Jira Rest API list of custom fields.

Same for me - deleted issues (from trash as well) shown on JQL search
