I have an problem on Jira. So, I created custom fields on the list view. Now when I try to log in with the same account on a different device, the custom fields which is set are not showing on the main list view although I have to manually add them from the options bar. Can you help fix this issue and make it permanent so that when I share this to others, they can all see it.
Please help me out with this. Thanks
welcome to the community!
I believe that you may be running into the situations described in JWMCLOUD-98 and JWMCLOUD-136: The list view is currently per user and per device. I would recommend to watch (and perhaps upvote) these feature requests.
Alternatively, if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, there are options available. I'll add more information below.
Hope this helps,
Best,
Hannes
... and just to expand on the last point: If you're looking for an immediate resolution and are open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a range of advanced features - including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting - and works across any number of projects.
Plus, any changes that you make to the fields of your view are shared across all your devices and, by default, with all team members!
This is how it looks in action:

Hey Hannes,
Thank you for clarifying this! Just one more question: If I share this board with another team member, will the custom fields I created appear in their configuration toolbar, allowing them to organize it themselves? Or are the custom fields I created only accessible to me on this device?
Appreciate your kind support on this matter.

If its a list view the user would have to add those columns to their list view.

in JXL, all custom fields that are added as columns to a sheet are visible to all other users, too.
