Creating new project always creates a new issue type scheme

Lindsay Cooper February 8, 2018

This is in regards to the newest version of Jira as of February 2018.

Creating new project always creates a new issue type scheme. I used to be able to select a previously used scheme so it didn't do this.

Even when I try to go into the project. Click settings -> Workflows -> Switch Scheme it will say it's the new theme. But when I go back to the actual project, it still says old workflow scheme.

Of course, once I typed out the question I figure out the answer. Here it is for people struggling like me.

Click to create new project.

Change template

Scroll down to bottom "create with shared configuration." Select the project you would like to emulate.
