Creating cards from emails with attachments creates multiple cards

We created a mail handler to monitor a support inbox and create a new card for every new email received. However, we have found that in cases where large attachments are part of the email received, we will also get multiple cards created, some of which do not have the complete set of attached files.

Is there a fix or workaround to ensure that only one card with the correct attachments is created?

This widget could not be displayed.
If you are in on demand raise a support case as you can't check the logs. Else I would say enable email logging and check what is going on.
