Create two boards and manually put tickets in there

Dennis February 14, 2021

Me and my team were on the progress of rewriting our entire website from scratch and therefore we used 1 board to track all of this.

Now is the point where we released our website, and I would like to have two separate boards to manage this.

The first board would be a SCRUM board, "New developments" where tickets of complete new functionality would be placed inside.

The other board would be "Improvements", where bugs would be placed and improvements to the site. We would have one team work on one board, and another team work in the other board.

I have managed to turn on parallel sprints option, and I have created these 2 boards.

However, I am unable to figure out how I can (manually) insert tickets in each of these boards. Both boards show the exact same tickets as of now.

I would just like to manually be able to place tickets in each board separately and let one board have a sprint that lasts for 2 weeks, and the other board without any time on it.

Is this possible, how can I do that?

Hi Dennis and welcome,

Note that board issues are automatically pulled depending on the underlying JQL filter they are using. Please navigate to the board configuration and tune the JQL filter to met your requirements. An example:

(Supposing each issue have a different issue type)

One board should be:

type IN ("New Development")

And the other one:

type IN ("Bug", "Improvement")

You can learn more about JQL in the following link:
