Hello,
I would like to create a Jira automation that does the following:
- it monitors a certain folder/file in the repository.
- when a pull request is merged, modifying that file, a new Jira issue is created.
I have only found questions for when the issue in Jira already exists and it's connected to a git branch, but not one where the issue is created because there has been a change in the branch.
We use Jira desktop (not the cloud) version in my company, and we have the Jira/git integration running.
Here's a screen shot of what I have so far. The audit log has nothing, as the rule has not been executed yet (although I have made changes in the branch that is monitoring..).
Hello Muriel,
Thank you for the question! This kind of action can be rather complicated to setup, so it would be best if you could please submit a support request with Git Integration for Jira here: https://help.gitkraken.com/git-integration-for-jira-data-center/gij-self-hosted-contact-support/ . We'll take a closer look at your rule setup and help you troubleshoot the issue to see if we can get it working for you.
Cheers,
Robert
