Create a category for issue types


following situation: I want to make categories for some issue types. Each category has a slightly different workflow and a different assignee after creation. I cannot use the components as category.


- User chooses Project A

- User chooses issue type Bug

- User chooses categoryX in custom field "bug type"

Here comes the problem: Depending on that custom field bug type I want to choose the assignee. I tried to set the components field automatically, but I couldn't find a solution for that. It didn't worked for me using the behaviours plugin. Couldn't set components.

I cannot use different Issue types like "bug categoryA", "bug categoryX"...and so on.

I cannot use components as categories.

The workflows are slightly different, but I can handle that by using the conditions. So I don't need an extra workflow per category. But I need a different assignee per category.

Any solutions?
