Create a Library for Books and Digital assets

Trying to create a library to track paper books and digital assets; checkout and return workflow use Jira Issues.  Have similar problem to another requestor - I may have 3 copies of the same book - Can I get away with identifying them uniquely in a column that lists the books?

Has anyone tried to do this to show an organization their library and track check-in and check-out of books?

Trying to use the least amount of MY labor possible.

What if you created a single JIRA ticket for a book : Count of Monte Cristo and if you have 3 copies, create 3 child tickets that link back to the parent?

Status of each book is maintained in a child ticket and you can use filters and Confluence to view the top level tickets.  To determine availability, you'd have to go into the child tickets.
