Following tutorials I don't see the option to create Kanban project with sample data currently in the Jira cloud
Was it changed?
Does this option still exists in the Jira Cloud?
There still is a way to do this, but not currently through the project creation menus in Jira Cloud. Instead you can go to the Board management view and select the option to Create Board. The popup that appears here will let you create a new kanban board and then do so with sample data (which in turn creates a new project and a new board).
If you're having trouble finding that manage boards page you can navigate directly to

Yes, it still works. Admittedly the URL I posted automatically just redirects to /jira/boards. But otherwise the create board button on that page still has the same options for creating a scrum/kanban board with sample data.
This might not work if you only had Jira Service Management or Jira Work Management as this boards page is specifically for Jira (previously known as Jira Software). Or it might not work if you are not a Jira Admin, as this requires the ability to create a new company managed project.
