Are you absolutely sure that the user in question is actually in one of the roles defined in the share dashboards or filters in the Global settings? Is this a single user or all user in the group/role.

Neeta, sorry for the delay. I am in the middle of moving and not online much throughout the day.

So first, unless something has changed any user should be able to create a dashboard. The global share permission gives a user the ability to share the dashboard or other object. To be clear, is this the only user experiencing the inability to create a dashboard? Can you share a screenshot of the error they receive? Is this cloud or server? Ultimately you may need to reach out to Atlassian Support especially if this is cloud.

Hi Jack,

Attaching screenshot of error message. I'm on Jira core server. We only implemented SSO in jira and created a seperate button" ZS login" which users must hit and dont enter their credentials however in the screenshot attached that button has disappeared.

@Neeta Dubey , i'm trying to circle back on old issues that have fallen thru the cracks. Has this been resolved? The last screenshot seems to convey the user can't login?

Hi Jack,

The user was still not able to login. I worked with our Windows Team and added user one of the ADSync Group and then only he was able login.however as per the permission scheme and my understanding he should be able to create dashboard without adding him under any ADsync group. Also global permission is independent of issue security scheme.

The first group in the firstsync screenshot.

i don't know what the ADSync group is but my question here is can the user log into Jira at all? Are you saying they can log into Jira and do other things just not create a dashboard?

yes. They could login and do other stuff only Dashboard and filter creation is not working.

Any help would be really appreciated.
