Copying coloured jenkins logs to jira ticket

Hi!!

I have some debug traces which are colour coded. I want those colours to be visible. It seems as soon as I copy this text to Jira from jenkins it becomes a colourless code snippet. Is there a 'language' I should set when using code snippet in order to achieve what I want. I don't mind using code snippet if it's possible or without the snippet is also fine. If I could copy it without it automatically becoming a code snippet.

Welcome to the community.

As far as I'm aware there is no specific language for logs, you still try the languages available to see which highlight best works for your case.

On a side note, I'm the developer of the Jenkins Integration for Jira app, would a feature that exposes the Jenkins console log in a specific panel in Jira be of value in this case?

Yes, something like that would be quite nice. I think it's mostly annoying that I can't copy the logs there at all without it becoming a code snippet. I would be quite happy if it didn't immediately remove all the formatting and just make it a plain text snippet.

I would like specific lines from Jenkins logs to be copied. In a way a panel that exposes the whole Jenkins log might be too much info.
