Same issue for using Jira in Microsoft Edge. We can use ctrl+v and it works but when we right click, paste is not an option?

+1 Seen this issue on Windows, MacOS + Ubuntu.

Copy & paste seems to work when:

- Close ticket from editor view (EG press Save)

- Copy text

- Open editor view

- Paste

Same issue - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Chrome Version 98.0.4758.80 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Copy paste between issues does not work. This is a basic requirement and is extremely frustrating to see something as core as this broken.

I don't know if this helps anyone, but I had a similar problem.  My problem was that I could not paste into the description field of an issue in Jira.  However, I found that if I pasted the text into a text editor (Notepad), and then copied from Notepad, I could paste into the description field.  Not sure why that works, but maybe it's because the description field doesn't support rich text, or some formatted version of text for PASTE, although it obviously allows me to create rich text in the description field text editor box.  It's an odd problem to be sure.

Tried this. Doesn't work for me on Chrome.

Copy+Paste works on every site and web page - except for Jira since Sep 2021.

Same for me, I could not paste into the `Activity comment`, but I could paste (the same text) into the checklist field! Although refreshing the browser makes it work - it is really annoying  ... because it should be a really simple task where `ctrl+v` works, but it doesn't, so you need + `F5` + wait + a new `ctrl+v `
