Connecting to an LDAP Directory in JIRA

Jerry Su December 4, 2017

Hello,

Jira version: 1.8.0_40
Directory Type: Microsoft Active Directory
Example domain:  abc.com
Hostname:  AD02.abc.com
Base DN:  CN=Users,DC=abc,DC=com

In my jira server, recently added a second Active Directory Server, the original first Active Directory Server settings: User Schema Settings -> User Object Class: user, because all users of Active Directory are placed in the User this Folder.

I would like to ask question:
The second Active Directory Server, we divide users into departments and groups, the user is in a different Active Directory group, Users will not be concentrated in the User folder.

How to set up User Schema Settings, search all users, the current settings can only see the user.

LDAP searches are recursive.

If you only specify the top level you´ll get all users and all groups: DC=abc,DC=com

If you specify Base DN: dc=example, dc=local and NOT Additional user DN and group DN, then you´ll see all users and in the whole domain.
