Hi,
I need to change how Child Issues is displayed because we use time estimation on our project and the child issues list displays story points instead.
At the minimum I need to change that field. It would be even better if I could completely customise each of the entries fields.
Thanks!
Hello @george_laskowsky
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Are these issues in a Team Managed project or a Company Manage project? You can get that Type information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.
It is not possible to customize which fields display for issues in the Child Issues section. Whether it displays Story points or Time information should depend on the estimation settings you use for the project/board the issues are encompassed in.
What are all the options you have selected for the Estimation settings in your project/board?
Hi Trudy, thank you for answering.
I am working on a Company Managed project and the board's estimation method is "Original time estimate" with Time Tracking on.
Which other options should I be looking for?
Thanks

Hello George,
I apologize - I believe I was incorrect. I don't believe it is possible to show time estimates in the Child Issues section. I was thinking of the ability to show time versus story points in cards on the board.
There is an open change request about being able to configure the fields that will display in the Child Issues section here:

That's very unfortunate.
It would be indeed very nice to be able to customise the whole list view, but what I need is much simpler.
I think even without user customisation, the list view should adapt to how the board is configured. Otherwise the list view looses a lot of value.

I suspect that the lack of adaptability may be because any given issue can actually display in multiple boards, and the Estimation setting is per board. When you are viewing a given issue there is no method for Jira to determine which Board's configuration you would expect to be applied.

You are right, but it wouldn't be much effort to show the fields that are being already configured on the screen to be shown.
If the screen includes SP estimates, then the SP estimates are also shown at the child list. The same for original time estimates.
If you want to take this further, then adding the child list configuration as part of the screen configuration would just make sense.
