During October the custom fields - checkboxes were shown as dropdowns which one could click, expand and choose. However the last weeks we have noticed that the checkboxes are shown directly as text, during the creation of the issue
and as dropdown during the edit of the issue
I tried to check for a new release on jira cloud that might show this change but I am not sure what is happening. My custom field is set to have search template as "multi select searcher"
Anyone observed a similar change or is aware of how to set this back to have a dropdown during the creation?
Did anything come from it yet?
We use these checkboxes for selecting HW and SW versions on create, and these lists are getting more and more extensive over time, making the ticket creation pretty cumbersome.

Hello @Ioannis Sarantidis
I had not noticed how the checkboxes presented in the Create Issue dialog previously, but I currently see the same thing as you.
I'm not aware of any specific setting that controls that. I recommend that you reach out directly to Atlassian support to find our if such an setting exists. And it would be great if you can report back here what you learn.
