Changing JIRA sub-tasks green check mark icon based on resolution

When a JIRA sub-task is resolved, it shows a green check mark next to it. This is confusing when the issue was a duplicate for example, because it looks like it was done. While that particular issue is "resolved", it would be nice if it could be represented differently. Same with other resolutions like "won't fix" or "invalid."

Is there a way to customize that icon based on the resolution type?

I don't see any way to do that. You can modify the icon if it's misleading for you (../images/icons/accept.png) but having a different one depending on the resolution, I don'T think so...
