Where jira.projectkey.pattern can be changed in Jira Cloud?
We want to migrate from Jira Server to Jira Cloud and need underscores in our projekt keys.
Hey @SG
jira.projectkey.pattern advanced configuration is not yet available in jira cloud.
Please check this link https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-advanced-settings/ --> Only those configs mentioned links are possible as of now.
Only these are available.

Same problem :(
I've tried around with a few Issues to look what is the easiest and fastest way to import all our software development projects from YouTrack to Jira.
After deleting all test issues in Jira I've import finally the first project. The original issue IDs have been overwritten. It seems like that Jira has still saved the issue IDs in background. So I found by searching the solution jira.projectkey.pattern
But I don't can't configure that in Jira Cloud ?
If I'm right with my thoughts then -> really?! I mean, you are Atlassion!! Not any kind of startup, right?!
If I'm wrong, excuse me! So I need help, because our Issue IDs in YouTrack are linked with other issues and lots of commits on GitLab.
So the wrong issue IDs will be a very big problem to switch to your software and quit YouTrack.

Manny

Hi Vishwas,
thank you for your answer.
When will jira.projectkey.pattern advanced configuration be available in jira cloud?
Without this setting we cannot migrate our projects.

Sabine

It is not going to be available any time soon.
You will need to change the keys of your projects to valid patterns before migrating them over to Cloud.

That is a big problem. Since there are a lot of projects, an adjustment will be very effortful. In addition to that the integration into other systems will not work any longer, because all links will be broken.
Probably this will be a show-stopper for our migration from server to cloud.

I suspect that you are going to find other customisations you have made that are going to be bigger blockers to moving to Cloud!
But yes, I'm afraid there's nothing else you can do. I'd always recommend housekeeping and standardising your Jira and processes in general, but you really do need to do it before you migrate to Cloud
