Using JIRA Hosted with yourselves (https://brightstar.atlassian.net)

I've set my times to be 24 hour in Look and Feel. That isn't being applied to data pickers in the "Add Work" page.

Documentation (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA050/Configuring+JIRA+Options#ConfiguringJIRAOptions-advanced) says to set format for data pickers change in the advanced settings.

Advanced Settings don't seem to be availble for me? Can you fix or advise?

Thanks,

Damian

I have the same problem, I can't access the advanced settings.

It seems the user has to be in the 'system-administrators' group which is prohibited on the OnDemand instances of JIRA (for other users then Atlassian Support). I think Atlassian has decided that these advanced settings should not be edited on the OnDemand instances.

EDIT: Confirmed by the documentation Customizing the Look and Feel:

Configuring date picker formats

Not applicable to JIRA Cloud.

I believe your user has no JIRA System Administrator rights and that's the reason you are not able to view the advanced settings.

You can also test by tying to open the advanced settings url directly: http://yourjirainstance/secure/admin/AdvancedApplicationProperties.jspa

In case it doesn't open, you need to review your user grants.

Cheers,

Luciano

THank you for getting back to me so quickly Luciano.

OK, so I tried to access that page directly (https://brightstar.atlassian.net/admin/AdvancedApplicationProperties.jspa) and I got permission denied.

The strange this is I am an administrator. I cna go into user management and see my account. I am a member of every group including Administrators. (see attached screenshot)

Note: This is JIRA OnDemand.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Damian
