Hello,
I'm creating a dashboard, when I set the viewers to "My Organizations" and save the created dashboard, the viewer's set is "Private". I keep repeating creating the dashboard, but the viewers are always set to "Private" when I try to place it in "My Organizations".
I'm the admin, but I'm having this kind of issue, can someone explain why this is happening?
Can you show a screenshot of what you mean?
Couple of things to check -> If you create a filter, can you share that with your overall organization? If you can't, you probably need to check the "Share dashboards and filters" Global Permission.
filters are set to Private viewers, does this affect the dashboard permission view?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Filters will prevent people from seeing gadgets on the dashboard gadgets. That may be the issue, but I can't see (no screenshot) so I can't ensure we are talking about the same thing for when you can't share something.
If both Filters and Dashboards do not let you share them, then your problem is with that global permission more than likely.

for the filters, I try also to change the viewers to "My Organizations", it keeps going back to "Private" whenever I save it.
this happens also when I try to edit the dashboard

When you click "Add" to that for the organization and then save, does it give an error?

None, but it keeps Private whenever I add it.
And for the Global Permission, I'm one of the site admins.

Ok, being a site-admin if you don't have the permission can still result in being unable to share.
I just kind of tested through a situation where I removed my permissions and I can't even see other bits to share to if I'm locked out.
Question -> Do you have an ad blocker or any kind of browser extension that would mess/block web actions?
If you try the same in an incognito tab (which should have extensions disabled) -> are you able to?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
what kind of permission do I need to have that access??
and for trying the incognito tab, it's still the same...

So need to be in a group here:
But given what you are showing me, you are in a group there. If you didn't have the share permission you wouldn't see anything in the drop downs at all.
If you go select "My Organization" -> Click "add" -> you see it swap out, but when you save it it doesn't save and reverts back to private, and you have those share permissions, something is wrong and I'd open a ticket with support, because either something else is wrong or something in your browser is doing something. I would include the things you've checked with support and any kind of a screen recording of it happening.

I think I figured it out now and it's already working..
