Can you hide Swim lanes in a Company Managed Board

Don Shadwell February 13, 2025

I am curious if you are able to hide swim lanes in a company managed board.  If so how do you do that.  We have several teams and not every team may need or want certain swim lanes.

Hi @Don Shadwell

To hide swim lanes in a company-managed board on Jira, navigate to your board settings, go to the "Swimlanes" section, and then select "No Swimlanes" from the dropdown menu, effectively disabling swimlane functionality on the board.

Key steps:

Access board settings: Go to your company-managed board and select "Configure board".

Navigate to Swimlanes: In the board configuration options, choose the "Swimlanes" tab.

Select "No Swimlanes": From the "Select method" dropdown, choose "No Swimlanes".

Important points to remember:

Company-managed boards:

This option applies specifically to company-managed boards where administrators have more control over board settings.

When a Admin selects "Configure Board" and then selects "No Swimlanes" does that get rid of ALL swimlanes or just the one not needed for a particular project?
TIA
