I have a team that delivers features and also fixes bugs/service requests. Both have their own work flow.
Is there a way to visualize it within 1 kanban board as shown in the picture above?
Thanks and best,
Thanh
You can visualise it on one board.
As a Board Admin:
This will provide a similar view to your screenshot above - issues will be in swimlanes depending on their type and flowing across one board.
These do flow across the same columns with the same headers. This means that if one workflow has 3 statuses and the other 7, you might have 4 empty columns for the smaller flow.
It's not possible to have different column layouts per swimlane like in the screenshot above.
The alternative will be separate boards. If you wanted a consolidated view aside from boards you could consider creating a Team Dashboard?

Hi @Ste Wright ,
thank you for the instructions and your explanation.

I thought so. I was hoping for someone possibly being aware of an app at the marketplace which would provide a solution to my "problem".
I was thinking about separate boards too, but the management weren't fond of this idea as they'd argued that they'd rather keep everything in a single overview.
Could you please elaborate what you mean by a "Team Dashboard"?
Thanks and best,
Thanh

There might be an app on the Marketplace - it's not something I've come across but there's lots of options out there.
I found Simple Agile Boards which appears to allow for more flexibility in boards? Might be worth checking it out to see if it can meet your need :)

I think separate boards can be useful if work types are inherently different.
For example, I've seen teams who run Scrum for their delivery - but might manage BAU work separately in a Kanban as part of their overall team capacity.
My reference to Team Dashboard is Jira Dashboards, available via "Dashboards" on the top navigation bar.
Utilising a Dashboard means you could draw data from multiple sources and visualise it as a central view of all work. So for example, you could use gadgets like:
There's lots of things you can do with dashboards to provide that team or management-level view!
See more on dashboards on these pages.
