Can't add default description on CompanyManaged Scrum/Kanban project?

In the TeamManaged Kanban project I can set a default description text for different issue types, so when the team makes a ticket they have a headstart and a guide for making higher quality ticket. I can't seem to do this in the CompanyManaged project? Seems strange?

That is a known difference between Company Managed projects and Team Managed projects.

For Company Managed projects there is a work around using custom fields and Automation Rules, or you can use a third party app like Adaptavist's ScriptRunner Behaviors app.

Hi Allan,

I can confirm you could set a default description using the Behaviours feature provided by ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud.

We have an example in our Script Library here, which shows how to do this.

Please note that currently, Behaviours only works on Jira Software company-managed projects, as documented here.
