Can no longer create a sub task

Previously I could create a sub task under a parent task ticket, now i keep receiving an error stating:

This issue seems to be related to a misconfiguration in the project settings (could be something related to the Issue Type Scheme or either the Fields Configuration Scheme)

Are you the product administrator? Are you able to share a screenshot of the Issue Type Scheme being used by the project?

Not sure if it was a problem in our set up or an issue with JIRA but working now.
